Maldives has won the title of World’s Leading Island Destination 2013

World’s Leading Island Destination 2013 title has been awarded to “Maldives...the sunny side of life” at the World Travel Awards Grand Final held at La Cigale Hotel in Doha, Qatar on 30th November 2013. The destinations nominated for this category were Bali Indonesia, Barbados, Cook Islands, Crete Greece, Jamaica, Madeira Islands, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sicily Italy, St Lucia and Zanzibar, Tanzania. This is the third time that Maldives has won this prestigious award.

Furthermore, Maldives has won significant awards in other categories as well. This includes:

• Hulhule Island Hotel for World’s Leading Airport Resort 2013

• Conrad Maldives Rangali Island for World’s Leading Water Villa Resort 2013

• Baros Maldives for World’s Most Romantic Resort 2013

• Baros Maldives for World Leading Island Villas 2013

Maldives has been nominated to several other categories as well. Being nominated and winning such prestigious awards proves that Maldives is internationally recognized world class destination.
