A recent study into Britons’ holiday habits carried out by Teletext Holidays has found that getaways in Barbados and the Maldives are the most popular for newlyweds. However, being as Brits go away on average twice a year throughout their lives, those aren’t always the most popular destinations.
Indeed it seems that their holiday tastes change depending on what is going on in our lives. Newly married couples head to the tropics and while the Caribbean remains a popular holiday for more established couples, romantic cities like Paris and Rome are also high on the list.
When kids come along, the picture changes. Entertainment is key and Florida and its amusement parks ranks highly. After that, when children have grown up, their horizons broaden to take in Australia, New Zealand and, yes, the Caribbean once again.
