Malaysian Airlines announced that they have introduced daily direct flights between Male’ (Maldives) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) starting from 1st September 2010.

According the official, with this change, passengers going to Maldives don’t have to transit at Colombo. Furthermore the arrangement for the return flight is also the same.

The change is brought to address the growing demand of travel between Malaysia and Maldives. In addition to that, this would also facilitate the increasing of arrival of Chinese tourists to Maldives.

ah well..I heard they had a hand in stopping Air Asia, the budget airline flying to Maldives..so they increase the number of flights and then we have to pay what ever price Malaysia Airlines wants for us to fly from Male'- Kl- Male'...really sucks!
