Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli has claimed the Indian Ocean location provides holidaymakers with stunning natural landscapes and modern wonders.

People who like to enjoy the best of both worlds should visit the Maldives, it has been claimed.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli, writing for the Daily Mail, said his Indian Ocean holiday had both stunning natural wonders and contemporary offerings.

"From first thing in the morning to last thing at night, you are surrounded by breathtaking beauty," he remarked, adding that while the Maldives "feels otherworldly" it also has "modern connections".

Those with a BlackBerry have access to 3G networks, Tonioli explained, while Wi-Fi is also available for laptop users.

However, technophobes were told that the biggest attraction of the island country is the ocean, with small fish swimming in the local reef like "little jewels".

According to the dancing expert, he himself took a dip with sharks and witnessed turtles.
