Korean Air said Wednesday that it will provide charter flight services from Incheon International Airport to the Maldives, one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in the Indian Ocean for Koreans.
The charter flights will be offered four times a week from April 25 to June 4, the airline said in a statement.
Formerly, Koreans travelling to the island had to change flights in Singapore and the total travel time was around 15 hours. The new direct service from Korea's largest airline will reduce travel time to around 9 hours, the airline said.
Korean Air plans to introduce regular flight services to the Maldives if demand for the flights to the island increases.
