Coral Garden to be created in Bodu Hithi

Coco Palm Bodu Hithi management has said that work is underway to create a coral garden in the reef of the resort.

The resort said that just as other reefs in Maldives, Coco Palm at Bodu Hithi was also facing the problem of coral deaths and that since tourists were coming to Maldives to see under waster life, the management was prepared to make a coral garden.

They will be bringing in marine biologists to do this work.

Coco Palm was one of the resorts in Maldives that carried out numerous activities to mark 350 on Saturday. From the time Maldivian cabinet went underwater on 17 October till the 24th October, this resort had carried out many activities to mark International Day of climate Action. Some of these activities were cutting off electricity for about half an hour every day from 17th October till 24th October, using candle lights for dinner every night of the week and planting 350 trees.

According to the management they plan to carry out similar activities in the future as well.
