HDC cancels bid opening meeting for lease of land and marina development

Hulhumale Development Corporation (HDC) has revealed that the bid opening meeting for lease of land to develop a marina inclusive of Hotel at Hulhumale' has been cancelled.

According to HDC the meeting was cancelled due to non-submission of bids for the project by the announced deadline of 1300 hours on Monday. 2 parties purchased bidding documents for the project to participate in the bidding process but none of the parties submitted bid proposals by the stated deadline. The project was announced on 5th November 2008.

The two parties who purchased bidding documents are Minor International Limited (a company registered in Malaysia) and M.V.K Maldives Private Limited. HDC will decide on how to proceed further with the Marina project after consultation with its Board of Directors, and such outcome will be shared with the public accordingly.
