Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has subleased Embudufushi and Olhuveli of Dhaalu Atoll to Dr. Ibrahim Umar Manik to develop and operate as a 220-bed tourist resort. The sublease agreement was signed on 17th April 2008 at MTDC’s Head Office.
The island is expected to commence its operation at the end of 2009.
